HBUT wins silver medal in iGEM 2017

On November 13rd (Boston Time), the International Genetically Engineered Machine Competition came to an end at Hynes Convention Center near MIT. 313 high-level teams from more than 40 countries and regions participated in the fierce competitions of gold, silver, bronze and individual awards, among which there are 75 teams from China mainland, 8 from Taiwan and Hong Kong.

The team "HBUT-China" led by Prof. Tang Jingfeng and associate professor of School of Bioengineering and Food Science won the global silver medal in the contest with outstanding performance, and achieved a breakthrough in the international biological technology competition on behalf of our university.
