Sino-French Rock and Soil Mechanics and Concrete Material Joint Research Center was built in 2015. It is an international cooperative research platform for Hubei University of Technology (HBUT) to promote its development of relevant scientific research.

Sino-British Combined Ultrafast Laser Processing Technology Research Center, set up in 2012, is an international cooperative research platform of HBUT and many famous oversea universities and laser companies. The center is built jointly by Professor Liu Dun and Professor Peter Bennett, both of whom are leading experts in the field of laser. 

Sino-French Urban Sustainable Development Research Centre is a provincial international cooperative research platform approved by Science and Technology Department of Hubei Province. The center focuses on studying and popularizing Green Energy Resources, Green Architecture, Low-carbon Technology and relevant standard.

Sino-Germany Biomedical Center, started at the beginning of 2013, is officially launched in March 2013. The main research fields of the center are in Virology and Regenerative Medicine. Professor Hu Hongkang serves as the director of the center, who is the former C1 professor of the University of Regensburg in Germany.

Phillips Hydrocolloid Research Centre, built in October 2010, is a cooperative center between Hubei University of Technology and the University of Wales in UK. It is an international platform of sharing of resources, personnel and technologies between the two universities. Professor Glyn Owein Phillips serves as the president of the centre, who is a famous Welsh Chemist and the founder of international hydro-colloid science.
