HBUT students win first prize in China's 2015 Robot Contest

From October 17 to 19, China's 2015 Robot Contest and RoboCup Open Tournament was held in Guiyang International Convention and Exhibition Center. Zhang Zheng, You Dazhang, and two teams guided by Teacher Xu Wan, all of whom are from our Mechanical Engineering School, won the first prize in the contest. China's Robot Contest and RoboCup Open Tournament are jointly hosted by the Robot Competition Committee of the Chinese Automation Association, the RoboCup Chinese Committee, and the Hi-tech Research and Development Center of the Ministry of Science and Technology. The contest, blossoming into the most influential and authoritative Robot technology competitions in China since its inception in 1999, has become the fifth largest international open tournament, after the robot contests of Japan, Germany, America, and Australia. The contest attracts 3,910 students in 1,983 teams from 387 colleges and universities, such as Tsinghua University, Peking University, Taiwan University of science and technology, and many others.
