At 16:30 p.m. on the afternoon of November 18, 2016, the 2016 HBUT Cup Basketball Final and the Wuhan Station of Chinese University Basketball Association was held in our gymnasium. The gymnasium that could hold more than 2000 people was packed then. The following celebrities were invited to watch and direct the game: Mr. Andre Miller, the Star of National Basketball Association (NBA); Mr. Su Qun, the famous CCTV commentator and the chief editor of National Pioneers; Mr. Lv Xiaoming and Mr. Liu Ziqiu , the Stars of Chinese Basketball Association (CBA). Part of our university's leaders also attended the Final: Prof. Zhang Yingjiang, our vice president; the directors and the deputy secretaries from the Department of Student Service, the School of Physical Education, the School of Economics and Management, the College of Engineering Technology; etc.

After the Final, our vice president, Prof. Zhang Yingjiang, Mr. Andre Miller, the NBA Star, Mr. Su Qun, the famous CCTV commentator, and Mr. Wang Dongming, the Department of Student Service, together awarded the Champion suit, the golden Champion Cup and bonuses to the winner team.

Mr. Su Qun, the famous CCTV commentator, posted the news about our university's Basketball Final on his personal Weibo, which was followed by 7.22 million fans, and UC Headline News for two consecutive days, November 18th and 19th. And he thought very highly of our university and the basketball game.
