School of Computer Science

    The School of Computer Science, Hubei University of Technology was founded in 2004. The history of the school dates back to the Computer Application major of 1986. After a decade’s efforts, the school has accomplished significant development. The school has 5 undergraduate courses, namely Computer Science and Technology, Software Engineering, Network Engineering, Digital Media, and Internet; and has master’s degree accreditation rights for 2 class-one disciplines namely “Computer Science and Technology” and “Software Engineering”; master of engineering degree accreditation rights for Computer Technologies, and intermediate professional title master degree accreditation rights for Computer Application Technologies.

    The school has an exceptional faculty with the highest academic level, and extensive experience, including 89 teaching and administrative staff (70 full-time teachers), 31 title-holders of secondary senior teachers, 1 doctoral student tutor, 21 postgraduate student tutors, 1 “rainbow scholar”, 2 special-term professors as title-holders of “Chutian Scholar”, 1 “Chutian Scholar”, 1 provincial teaching team, and 2 provincial “excellent courses”. The school has established 5 research institutes, namely computer application technologies, computer and communication technology, intelligent network and information processing, software engineering and medical cloud computing, and artificial intelligence, and has formed stable research directions. The school also has two research platforms, namely the cloud computing laboratory and the Internet Innovation Laboratory.
