1、Candidates under National and Provincial Recruitment Program of Global Experts
(1) Senior Research Scientist (Long-term)
①a one-off signing bonus of 1,000,000 RMB
②400,000 RMB relocation bonus, a 160-180 square-meter apartment for rent or purchase
③Annual salary 500,000-800,000RMB
④Scientific Research Startup Fund 1,000,000-2,000,000RMB (Engineering Field)
Lab Establishment Fund 2,000,000-3,000,000RMB (Engineering Field)
Scientific Research Startup Fund 500,000-1,000,000RMB (Any Other Field)
Lab Establishment Fund 1,000,000-2,000,000RMB (Any Other Field)
Requirements: hold an overseas doctoral degree; under 55 years old; have an experience working as a professor in a renowned overseas university or as an expert/scholar in a prestigious scientific institute and/or working as a senior technical or administrative expert in a world-renowned enterprise or financial institution; work for a minimum period of 6 months at HBUT each year.
(2) Senior Research Scientist (Short-term)
①A one-off signing bonus of 500,000RMB; with the option at the end of term to apply for a full-time position where another signing bonus of 500,000RMB will be offered
②Free accommodation when working at HBUT, reimbursement for a round-trip international air ticket each year
③Monthly salary 50,000RMB
④Funding will be given as and when necessary for the lab startup and research
Requirements: hold an overseas doctoral degree; under 55 years old; have an experience working as a professor in a renowned overseas university or as an expert/scholar in a prestigious scientific institute and/or working as a senior technical or administrative expert in a world-renowned enterprise or financial institution; work for a minimum period of 6 months at HBUT each year.
(3)Research Scientist
①A one-off signing bonus of 500,000RMB
②200,000 RMB as the relocation bonus, a 160-180 square-meter apartment for rent or purchase
③Annual salary 200,000-300,000RMB
④In addition to grants given by the Central Chinese Government for overseas experts research,

Requirements: have an expertise in scientific or engineering field; under 40 years old; hold an overseas doctoral degree and more than 3 years overseas scientific research experience; have a formal teaching or scientific research position at a renowned overseas university, scientific institute or the research & development department of a well-known enterprise; able to work full-time at HBUT.
(4)Provincial Recruitment Program of Global Experts
①A one-off signing bonus of 500,000RMB
②200,000 RMB as the relocation bonus, a 160-180 square-meter apartment for rent or purchase
③Annual salary 200,000-300,000RMB
④Scientific Research Startup Fund 500,000-1,000,000RMB (Engineering Field)

Requirements: hold an overseas doctoral degree; under 55 years old; have an experience working as an associate professor (or professor) in a renowned overseas university or as an expert/scholar in a prestigious scientific institute and/or working as a senior technical or administrative expert in a world-renowned enterprise or financial institution; work for a minimum period of 6 months at HBUT each year.
2、Positions under Hubei Provincial Scholar Plan
(1)Lecturing Professor
①Free accommodation when working at HBUT
②Monthly allowance 15,000 RMB
③Reimbursement for a round-trip international air ticket each year.
④Funding will be given as and when necessary for the lab startup and research.
Requirements: have a formal teaching or research position, normally as an associate professor or above, at a high-level oversea university; work for a minimum period of 2 months at HBUT.
(2)Visiting Professor
①200,000 RMB as the relocation bonus, a 160 square-meter apartment for rent or purchase
②Annual allowance 100,000RMB, in addition, full-time visiting professors will enjoy the salary and
benefits corresponding to the position.
③Scientific Research Startup Fund 500,000RMB (Engineering Field)
Lab Establishment Fund 1,000,000RMB (Engineering Field)
Funding for any other field is one-third of that for engineering field.
Requirements: normally hold a doctoral degree; under 45 years old; have a formal position as an assistant professor or above at a high-level overseas university; work for a minimum period of 9 months at HBUT.
(3)Scholar
①100,000 RMB as the relocation bonus, an apartment for rent or purchase
②Annual allowance 30,000RMB, in addition, salary and benefits corresponding to the full-time
position
③Scientific Research Startup Fund 120,000RMB (Engineering Field)
Lab Establishment Fund 300,000RMB (Engineering Field)
Funding for any other field is one-third of that for engineering field.
Requirements: hold a doctoral degree from a world-renowned university or have more than 1 year experience working at a well-known university or institute and have remarkable achievements; under 40 years old; able to work full-time at HBUT.
3、Returnees with An Overseas Doctoral Degree
(1)A relocation bonus of 150,000-200,000RMB for purchasing a commodity apartment out of campus, a transitional apartment offered before the purchase; or a relocation bonus of 60,000-100,000RMB with a low-rent apartment on campus
(2)Candidates who are eligible to be recruited as a professor or an associate professor can be employed prior to being awarded the title and enjoy the corresponding salary and benefits
(3) Scientific Research Startup Fund 90,000-120,000RMB (Engineering Field)
Scientific Research Startup Fund 30,000-40,000RMB (Any Other Field)
Requirements: hold a doctoral degree from a renowned overseas university or engaged in postdoctoral research; able to work full-time at HBUT; normally under 40 years old.
