On February 21st, General secretary Li Keqin and inspection team from Wuhan COVID-19 Prevention and Control Headquarters came to  inspect and guide the epidemic management activity in our university. Member of the standing committee, president assistant Yan Liezhou, accompanied the inspection.

Recently, HBUT has been informed by provincial and municipal headquarters to prepare 1000 rooms as reserve quarantine points and to provide reserve accommodation point for the medical team with relevant logistics support and services.

In east student dormitory, Le Keqin inspected the preparation work including the restricted lane and dining hall. He stressed that the university must be well prepared for the medical team with passion and gratitude. At the international student dormitory, he requested that management and services should be further strengthened to guarantee health and safety of every international student.

Meanwhile, Li Keqin put forward four requirements on epidemic management: First, implementing various prevention and control tasks with strengthened sense of responsibility. Second, comprehensively blocking the virus infection path to support the community work. Third, guaranteeing detailed logistic support for teachers and students, especially for normal patients and the elderly. Fourth, frontline staff and volunteers should protect themselves to guarantee their health and safety as well as their families.

After visiting and checking the reserve quarantine point and demonstration quarantine room, the inspection team highly commended the university's preparation, which reflected high attention from leadership, full support from teachers and students, and a thorough scheme. The inspection team also gave working guidance on epidemic management in the next phase.

Leaders from the General Administration Office, the Department of Student Service, the Department of Security, the Department of Logistic Services, and the School of International Education attended the activities above.
