On September 2, the first China "Internet+" contest of college students' innovation entrepreneurship semi-final of Hubei province was held at HBUT.

Guo Shenglian, Vice Governor of Hubei province, attended and delivered a speech. More than 800 contestants in 162 groups from 77 colleges and universities of Hubei province participated in the competition. HBUT contestants were awarded two gold medals and two silver medals.
