The 2022 Big Data Intelligence and Security International Academic Summit was held in Hubei University of Technology from December 1 to 2. More than 200 Chinese and foreign scholars had online discussions on the theme of "Big Data Intelligence and Security", and more than 10 well-known experts and scholars from China, the United States, the United Kingdom, Norway, Japan, Australia, Canada and other places gave presentations.

Experts discussed key scientific issues and cutting-edge technologies in the field of big data intelligence and security, and discussed topics such as big data intelligent computing and decision optimization, artificial intelligence security and privacy protection, and intelligent network theory and systems. At the forum, Zhang Mingwu, professor of the School of Computer Science at Hubei University of Technology, analyzed the development status and future trend of artificial intelligence in China in the report "Comparative Analysis of the development of artificial intelligence industry at Home and abroad".

Zhang Mingwu is also the director of the Hubei Big Data Engineering Technology Research Center for Small and Medium-sized Enterprises and the leader of the Hubei Intelligent Science and Technology Innovation Demonstration Base. He said that the digital transformation of the economy is the most typical symbol of the new round of global technological and industrial revolution, among which the key driving force is the innovative breakthrough of frontier technologies such as artificial intelligence. According to the analysis of intellectual property data in the field of artificial intelligence, in the past 10 years, China accounted for 74.7% of the total number of artificial intelligence patent applications in the world, 8.2 times that of the United States, which ranked second. In AI sub-fields such as natural language processing, chip technology and machine learning, China's scientific research output is close behind that of the US and ranks among the top in the world. In terms of the basic research and market scale of the AI industry, China has certain advantages, but there is still a gap between China and the US in terms of industrial development, talent support and hardware.

In September this year, China Artificial Intelligence Industry Report (2021) was released, which sorted out the panorama of AI industry chain from four levels of algorithm, computing power, data and application, and from multiple dimensions of market, policy, representative enterprises, key technologies, investment and financing, patents, talents and institutions, as well as the development strategy of AI industry in typical cities. Describe the development pattern of artificial intelligence industry at home and abroad, and offer suggestions on the high-quality development of artificial intelligence industry in the next stage.

Zhang cited data related to "regional Attractiveness (moving enterprises)" in the 2021-2022 China AI Computing Power Development Assessment Report: As of September 22, a total of 10,069 AI enterprises in China had changed their registered addresses. From the perspective of enterprise flow direction, Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Shandong, Tianjin, Guangdong, Liaoning, Hubei, Anhui, Fujian, Shanxi are the hot places to move in. Ai enterprises most favored: Hangzhou, Nanjing, Suzhou, Tianjin, Qingdao, Wuhan, Wuxi, Hefei, Dalian, Shenyang.
