On the evening of May 18th, the final of the first HBUT Chinese Ancient Civilization's Knowledge Challenge – 'Dialogue with the Chinese Classics' was taking place in the Hall, which was hosted by the University League Committee and the University Student Union and undertaken by the School of Foreign Languages. 12 student competitors separately from our 12 schools competed for the laurel of the competition. The judges of the final were 5 teachers from the School of Foreign Languages, the Department of Party Committee Publicity and the University League Committee.

 

After the fierce competition, Xu Fengyi, from the School of Foreign Languages won the champion and She Shuang, from the School of Civil Engineering, Architecture, and Environment won the second place. Wang Qi, from the School of Economics and Management, and Mei Xiaohan, from the School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, shared the third place.

 

The competition aimed at popularizing Knowledge of Chinese ancient civilization, exploring the beauty of Chinese ancient civilization, improving the ambience for students to actively study it, and motivating students for studying relevant knowledge, thus improving their quality and making students inherit and carry forward the excellent Chinese traditional culture.
